Contextual Portfolio- Artist

Andy Warhol

Andy Warhol was an American painter, film maker, and a pioneer of the pop art movement, a movement which I love.  His first stand alone exhibition of drawings was held at the Hugo Gallery New York in 1952 he also published his own drawings. in 1962 he used silkscreen prints to create his famous 'Campbell's Soup Cans', 'Coca-Cola Bottles and portraits of Marilyn Monroe and other well known faces.

For me I like this style as you are able to portray and message, using bright colours and simple forms, this is the type of design that I really appreciate. For me pop art is one of the main beginning of modern design.
