Experimenting with ink
I have experimented with two different techniques involving ink. The first one I experimented with was spraying/flicking the ink on to the image to create a splatter effect. The second experiment using the ink, is dropping a small amount into the water and photographed displaced way it settled. I then layered that on top of some of the illustrations digitally. This way of using ink is a way to illustrate that memory are not always clear and are often faded. I have chosen to use basic colours, mainly primary colours, the simplicity of this enables fluidity, that also make it seem as if the memory is unclear.
For me I think the the second experiment works better and it conveys the message better , that being, memories are faded and sometimes unclear only remembering certain elements.
