Logos

To begin with I started experimenting around with different logo ideas as this is the main area of branding.
I used three fonts ‘Bodoni 72 Smallcaps Book, Kannada Sangam MN and Marion’, I chose fonts which would represent the the royal opera's high standers and played this quite safe.
Using illustrator, I experimented around with them. Using the pen tool, I illustrated the end of a cable to make it appear that it had been unplugged. I also illustrated a wine glass smashing, something that is related to an opera singer being able to reach a high note matching that of the glasses frequency.

The unplugged cable represented the event more clearly, so I took this further in experimenting. I cut through the text using the Knife tool and threaded the cable through the centre of each word. This demonstrates the fact the shows will not be like opera as it is commonly thought of, it is cutting its way through and breaking down the boundaries between opera and 20-30 year olds. This design works the best and is the one that will be take further.
