For this workshop I needed to draw out something
quite simple multiple time I drew out an E 5 time as it was required to be an
odd number as an even number would be unclear to the viewer and end up appearing
as an error. From there I scanned the images in an ensured the levels in contrast
were even.
In after effects the fist thing to make a
new composition in the standard format. To star the composition off I first imported
the the sound file the the images as a jpep sequences. Then added that to the composition
once in the composition I went file, interpret footage, main. I then set the
frame rate to match the composition (25fps), I slowed down the speed cycle and
then change the loop cycle to 50, this is so it will paly for the full 90
seconds. The images/ jpeg sequence needed to be stretched so it ran for the
full 10 seconds.
To make the letter so it I appears to be
drawing its lf I traced the around the it using the pen tool. Once that was
done I added the effect this is done by going to effect, generate, stroke. I
then made sure stroke sequentially so it appears in the order I drew it, I then
changed the width of the stroke so it covered the original image. From there I change
the end to 0% moved the time head where I want the image to be fully drawn then
dragged the end all the way up to 100 again. The last step was to change the
drop box menu at the bottom of the effect panel to Reveal original image.
