Contextual Portfolio-Seminars

In preparation for the collide event I was tasked with producing a micro presentation of an innovative and exciting exhibition and think about how the physical and digital media is presented. For the presentation itself I was asked to use a shortened version of the 'PechaKucha' style, this is very popular in the art and creative industry, the side had to turn automatically every 20 seconds.

I did not just look at one exhibition I looked at three exhibitions with I thought presented work in a innovative and exciting exhibition.

I researched:
  • Fay Diario Di Viaggio. Milano, 2006
  • Stefan sagmeister: the happy show at design exchange, toronto
  • NTV Interactive Wall

Fay Diario Di Viaggio, Milano, 2006

This exhibition uses the space of the exhibition well, it combines a digital print with physical 3 dimensional objects. As this takes full advantage space it is inspirational when applied to our Collide event as the space is limited.

Stefan sagmeister: the happy show at design exchange, toronto uses digital and physical pieces in a coherent manner, it also has strong theme through out. This exhibition also covers a theme of Collide.

This exhibition uses digital and physical work well. The digital and physical interact  together.

Looking at these exhibitions they have informed my ideas for the Collide exhibition.
