Cinema 4D

In this workshop I learnt about the beginnings of creating a 3D model of a character using Cinema 4D.

To start with we needed a reference so that we would be able to understand what I am creating. When I had the character I had to adjust it, I adjusted the images levels and cropped them down to remove wasted. I had to have two images of the character a front and a side view.

The next stage was to open up cinema 4D and create a plane and a material. I then added the front image, then added the material to the plane. Then I changed the plane so that it matched the image size. I then did the same for the side image as well but made sure that this was on the Z axis. I then moved them together so that they are both able to be viewed easily.

I then went on to creating a cube and moved this into the center of where the two images meet when traveling straight forward and made sure it was at the stomach of the character. I then made sure that the cube had the x-ray on so I am able to see the guides of the character. To make the character editable used the knife tool to create more point so that the model is easier to work with.

This is how far we managed to get this time but will continue the model next.
