Jason deCaires Taylor is an sculptor who creates underwater living installations. These underwater living sculptures offer the viewer mysterious, ephemeral encounter, a glimmer in to another world of art that develops from the effort of man. His site-specific, permanent works are designed to act as artificial reefs that then attracts corals, increasing marine biomass and aggregating rich species. All this then diverts tourist away form fragile natural reefs, this then provides a space for a natural rejuvenation.
