For this lesson I learnt how to animate a walk, using the character I previously developed. To do this I used photoshop and its time line.
To start with, to get to grips with the timeline tool and to understand the physics so it looks normal and real, I animated a ball bouncing. Using a Wacom tablet I drew out each frame, this took longer than I expect it to as the ball was either too fast and jumpy, with too little frames, or it had too many frames. In the end I believe I achieved something that does resemble a bouncing ball and doesn't look too unrealistic.
Once I had got to grip with the timeline tool I moved on to animating the walk. To do this I did the same as the ball drew it out frame by frame, this time seeing a guide so that the leg movements look right. I did not draw out the full character as I wanted to be able to get the walking movement down. Over all the I am pleased with my first attempt although there is room for improvement as the walk is extremely fast and look as if he is running in a walking style/ extreme speed walking.
