During one workshop week I had the opportunity to attend a guest lecture by Neubau. The talked about there book 'Neubau forest catalogue.' and they informed us about how and why they chose and came up with a with the completed book.
This catalogue they produced shows a collection of silhouettes of many urban trees found in the surrounding berlin. In years of wor
k they using a method formulated specifically for this project they removed the tree from it background there original surroundings.
The trees used were selected according to a unique special matrix. The used the studios name to create the anchor points. the placed the letter NEUBAU over a map of Berlin, The trees found at theses anchor points appear in the book. This project took from 2009 to 2013, the trees were captured over winter and the summer season.
