Animated character

Before creating the animation I first had to created the actual character in illustrator making sure each limb/ section was a separate layer. My robot having seven layers in total.

I imported the file, then made sure that size of the composition was at 1920x1080. I then made sure the anchor points for each layer was in the correct position. This was to ensure that they moved in the correct way and do not frantically move outside of the correct space.

then began to create the movement, I began to focus on the ‘position’, ‘scale’ and ‘rotation’. The Is only one part of the robot that move separately from the rest of it and that is the arm/hands. This was due to the design of the robot only had one clear path for the arms/ hands. For the background I added to two separate colours and two different textures. The colours I chose to use were simple Black and white, as the robot was bright blue it complimented it perfectly. Then by adding the texture It adds a finished look and makes it less 2 dimensional.
